Freeport Community Hall
The Freeport Community Hall is owned, operated, and maintained by the Village of Freeport (Village Commission). Rental fees help with the cost of operating, maintaining the building and providing community-based activities. The Freeport Village Commission reserves the right to deny or terminate any Rental application.
FORMAL ORGANIZATIONS are required to provide the Freeport Village Commission with a Certificate of Insurance from their own insurance company when using the Community Hall or Basketball Court. Examples of these
formal organizations would be Business entities, religious organization, structure entities with formal hierarchy, government entities.
INFORMAL ORGANZIATIONS The Freeport Village Commission purchases additional insurance from our insurance provider to cover informal organizations that are unable to feasibly obtain insurance coverage through their own means. Examples of these informal organizations would be unstructured / drop-in entities without a formal hierarchy, Seniors, Rug Hookers, Crafters, Islands Women's Centre Drop-In. The Freeport Village commission currently has Mondays, and Fridays allocated for these types of informal organization events. Village residents looking for a venue to host birthday/anniversary parties, baby/bridal showers, craft fairs etc. also classify as an informal organization. Free Will Donation are accepted, and will be applied toward the cost of additional insurance and/or community-based events hosted by The Freeport Village Commission.
